To Our Valued Customers and Partners,

We are privileged to be able to serve you and provide the necessary training to each of you!

As we all continue to monitor the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and the impact it is having on our nation, states, and local communities, we are committed to providing a safe training environment for our instructor and clients/students.  We are following all recommendations and mandates provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC); the American Health and Safety Institute and the American Heart Association the two leaders in health and safety training; and the federal, state, and local governments.

With this in mind, we are asking our clients/students when they arrive at the training facility to avoid touching anything unnecessarily and to keep, what is considered to be, a safe social distance. You will notice class sizes will be smaller to allow for proper social distancing. Our instructors will set-up the training space in such a manner to accommodate the practice of social distancing.

Our instructors are also aware of the mandates and recommendations and will be following strict decontamination procedures for all lifeguarding equipment, bag-valve masks, and manikins OR use a one-to-one ratio for these items with class participants. Students are REQUIRED to bring their own CPR Pocket Mask and always have been required to do so. Students will NOT be permitted to participate in the class in the absence of a CPR Pocket Mask. Any disposable items used in class are never used more than once. All students will be provided their own individual manikins. And, class ratios will be significantly smaller to allow for the proper recommended social distancing practices.

We are struggling to identify swimming pools to host our scheduled lifeguarding and lifeguarding instructor level courses – many are closed and will be closed for the foreseeable future. Dates to reopen pools varies, greatly, for state to state. So, please watch your email for updates, postponements, and rescheduling. We will work to communicate these postponements to you in a timely manner and get your rescheduled ASAP.

Some general reminders:

  • Please thoroughly wash your hands, for 20 seconds, when you arrive, during breaks in the class, and when you leave.
  • Refrain from shaking hands and/or touching others in the class.
  • If you have any symptoms of upper respiratory illness/infection, flu, and/or fever PLEASE email us (info@lifeguardingclasses.org) to reschedule your class.
  • If you are more comfortable rescheduling for a later date, please email (info@lifeguardingclasses.org) our office.
  • Please consider continuing to support small businesses!

Thank you,

Elisabeth, President
